Wanna take control over LA traffic? Command the streets on two wheels instead of four, and join 40,000 Angelenos for Bike to Work Day this Thursday. There'll be 44 energy stations from Long Beach to Pasadena stocking free goodies like Clif Bars and Ocean Potion Suncare. Plus, a dozen Metro and transit agencies will be offering a free ride for cyclists who need a lift via train or bus. Masterful.

Pedal power emits zero exhaust fumes - putting a red light on greenhouse gases entering the atmosphere. Bonus: Alfresco biking beats that ol' gym routine for a little exercise.
